If I were to pick which of the great list of Hollywood horror pop icons to choose from, I would definitely go with zombies. Not only that they have hundreds of films under this categories but even video games has popularized this horror icon. And when one mentions zombies and video games, one title a;ways emerges supreme to both casual and hardcore gamers and that is the popular tower defense game Plants VS. Zombies.

Plants vs. Zombies, the May 9, 2010 game release from PopCap Games gained commercial and phenomenal success to both casual and hardcore game with its cool animated graphics, game mechanics, great musical scoring, and addictive nature. The game puts you in the shoes of a homeowner who uses plants to repel an invading army of brain craving zombies. With the help of your crazy neighbor Dave it is up to you to strengthen your arsenal of horticultural armaments against invading zombies via your yard, pool and even your rook whether it is day or night.

Plants VS Zombies continually gain success at it also hits the iDevices with some of its game mechanics retained (except for the Zen Garden) plus added achievement points system which one can feature and share with friends and the leaderboards. If you though that the zombie madness brought by Plants versus Zombies has already stopped with its iDevice release then think again.

The tower defense game will hit the next gen console this September 2010 via the XBOX 360 on its XBOX Live Marketplace with all new game features which includes the following:

• A total of seven game modes, including two new multiplayer modes: Co-Op and Vs. Mode
• 12 achievements and 21 mini-games – more than any other adaptation, and including the exclusive Heavy Weapon^TM-inspired mini-game
• A goofy new way to track and share progress online, where players create their own custom house and cruise down the street to see their friends’ cribs!
• The highest resolution of any Plants vs. Zombies adaptation to date at 1920 x 1080
• All 50 levels of the original Adventure mode along with Puzzle, Survival, and Zen Garden
