Geek ArticlesForsaken World Game Review
FORSAKEN WORLD DEVELOPER Perfect World Entertainment PLATFORM Windows Overview Forsaken World is the newest and the sixth MMORPG made by Perfect World Entertainment for the North American market. The game officially launched into open beta on March 09, 2011. The game features a good character development (races & classes), Plenty of crafting options, Unique PvP system, and a Map-wide skill effects. Added the fact that it's graphics and gameplay is second to none this game can be one hell of a ride for MMORPG gamers. Though some translations and grammatical errors can be seen it's still a thumbs up for PWI. The only thing that makes this game awful is that gears are extremely hard to find. Added the fact that leveling up in this game takes so much time Races: Stonemen are the strongest and bravest race. They are a fearless race, proud if their strong bodies and tough skin. They always rush to the front lines. Dwarf Human Kindred Jobs - Socialite, Adventurer, Merchant, Collector, Arcanist, Botanist, Astrologist, Armorsmith, Blacksmith, Tamer, Alchemist Classes: Warrior - The central figure of any group. Warriors have high health and can deal heavy damage at close range. Protector - The tank, or defensive fighter of Forsaken World. Protectors absorb blows for their allies. They have heavy health and defense but limited damage output. Assassin - Masters of stealth, Assassins deal high damage at close range. They have light armor and health and cannot stand toe to toe with enemies for long. Marksman - Wielding long-ranged weapons, Marksman fight their enemies from a distance. They deal consistent damage over time, but are lightly armored. Mage – Masters of the elements, Mages are a dieing breed in Forsaken World but those that remain are deadly. They have high damage output but how defense and health. Priest - Supportive casters who heal and bolster the fighting capabilities of their allies. Vampire - A mysterious class that mixes magic with melee attacks. Vampires use their own health to perform attacks, but absorb the life of their enemies. Bard - A supportive class whose music can effect those around them. Bards can disable enemies or buff allies nearby. The Game Players start by creating their character which can be a male or female and have the capacity to choose among several different races like: Human, Elves, Dwarves, Kindred, and Stoneman. the graphics and the races are nicely made and the customization is quite cool wherein youll be able to put markings on your character, tattoos, and you can also choose different faces that will suit your class and a race.
The only problem with the character creation system comes when its time to choose your class. This game somehow restrict players in their choice of race and class. Since t he game features several classes: warrior, assassin, mage, priest, bard, marksman, protector, and vampire. Some of the classes are exclusively for one race. Examples of it are Vampires which is exclusive for Kindred, The bard which is exclusive for Elf and the two races with only one available job the Protector and the Marksman. The problem is that exactly half of the classes of them are exclusive to one and only one class. (Marksman class are only available for Dwarves, Protectors are exclusive for Stoneman, Bard which is exclusive for elf) Well, That's a minus one for MMORPG gamers. I mean, why does a dwarf become a warrior? or a protector perhaps? Anyway as i was saying once your character is finished you'll find yourself in your race's starting zone, which will eventually lead you down the path that merges all of the races together into one place. The art of questing is the same here as it is in every other MMORPG out there. You'll take the quest, go complete the quest always 1) Talk to someone, 2) Kill things, or 3) Deliver something and then get your reward which can be anything from experience points and money to weapons, armor, or consumable items. Its like the basic MMORPG cliche but with a new system that allows you to auto-route (more like an auto-walk system) which enables your character to go to the location of your quest. its a plus factor for those lazy MMORPG gamers. The only problem with the questing is that the more level you attain the harder and the longer for a quest to be finished. I'am referring to a long period of about 20-22 hours just to finish all your daily quest. So if you do not have any social life you can try playing Forsaken World for a change. On the other side there are several systems that helps you in your quest like the Encyclopedia for beginners and a lots of helpful tips for a better understanding of the game.. Overall its a fair game, with really cool graphics and a good battle system. It may lack some points in a MMORPG game its still a knockout game compared to other MMORPG. A little retouching would make the game one hell of a ride for gamers. You can talk about... Forsaken World Game Review Tags: • game review • review • forsaken world • Related articles:
