If there is one thing that is associated with geeks, it is video games. When it comes to video games, the most prominent and trusted names are the gaming industry giant' Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony with their own gaming unique gaming consoles: XBOX 360 (Microsoft), Wii (Nintendo), and Playstation 3 (Sony).

These three main home video gaming consoles are considered today as the seventh generation of consoles. Microsoft was the first gaming console to spearhead the seventh generation consoles with their XBOX 360 back in November 22, 2005, followed by the release of Sony's Playstation 3 in November 11, 2006, and the Nintendo Wii in November 19, 2006. These three major consoles has set the standard for future video gaming and would be the turning point of the following generation consoles.

These three gaming consoles now meets up the demands of the general gaming public by providing new game features such as downloadable contents, achievements, new multiplayer gaming (1-4 at least or 4-8 players at the same time), music and video stores, voice chatting, social network integration, wireless connectivity, and many more are all integrated with the internet. The overall gaming experienced will be the legacy of seventh generation consoles in the next gaming generations to come, but for now every geek's fantasy are all being fulfilled by these three gaming console giants.
