Video game has become a completely different entertainment industry now all thanks to man's boredom and general curiosity of things to spend one's free time with. First man invented toys but as one grows old, the novelty of playing it wears off and so video games where born. From simple black and white dots interacting with one other to the now advanced motion sensing high definition games, one can say that technology has truly evolved the video game industry.

Did you know that video games are continually evolving all thanks to real world or real life objects? Take for example card games. There have been various incarnations of video games based from different sorts of actual physical trading card games, from Pokemon, King of Fighters, Dragon Balls, Yu-Gi-Oh to Magic: The Gathering, and so on. There have also been quite a few video games that have successfully integrated real world objects with it. One of which is a few Yu-Gi-Oh! video game titles which allows a gamer to input a password which can be seen on actual legitimate Yu-Gi-Oh! trading cards for it to be used on the video game version, one perfect example is Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance. Another more contemporary example is the latest incarnation of Spyro game with Skylander's Spyro Adventure for the seventh generation consoles and handhelds. This time the game gives you an extra hardware which let's you scan and store Skyander game saves in these action figures. To be more precise, these action figures will also appear on the game and after leveling up, you can bring this saved content to other friend's Skylander game to play it there. It has a "got to catch them all" feel ala Pokemon. The game has 32 action figures which are also playable in game with each unique elements and skills to use. This is a very interesting technology especially if a game franchise like Pokemon did this. You aren't just collecting and raining (leveling up) digital versions of your pokemon but you are also collecting some action figures. You might like this or you may not but one thing is certain, this gives video games a more personalized experience and collectors would want to try out future games with an actual physical collectible that is directly integrated in their game. To what that game might be is still a mystery, but it is not impossible to forecast that it can be popular and phenomenal given that it is associated with the right video game series or title.
