Amidst the tranquil neighborhood, a loving peaceful family, or a thriving community lurks creatures of darkness, a great evil. This may sounds like an introduction to a comic book series but this is the reality of life. While everyone is minding their own businesses, getting through life and the challenges that is given to us, there are a number of them who wants the easier way out, through crime and other incomprehensible forms of injustice. Who is left to save the day? This should be the part where one mentions the name of his famous superhero or heroine who constantly defeats the face of injustice to uphold peace and order. In reality, there is only the law and the authorities who are responsible for such demanding tasks of upholding the law. The law gives equal rights to all, no matter how vile the crime has been committed or despicable the criminal is, the law will eventually give him/her what he deserves, but what if that same person has the connections, the power, and the influence to bypassed and even evade the law? That is the whole idea of vigilantes and the popular culture that feeds of the hunger of the millions of everyday average Joe's and proud geeks out there. It does happen as many has tried taking the persona of these vigilantes both in real life and on the worldwide web. Their justice can range from public humiliation, to the actual act of handing down justice to whom they deemed guilty that might usually result to an actual crime themselves. The idea becoming one's very own superhero or a masked vigilante could be glorified in comics, television, movies and other popular medias but when one actually commits such disgraceful acts, it is a completely different picture. It may start at first with a noble cause but when it goes out of hand it can just simply be the feeding of one's own hunger for vengeance, blood, pain and suffering... and no justification can be said to excuse one's behavior for acting that way. Committing an crime via self-defense can be debatable but committing murders for the sake of vigilantism and revenge is intolerable under the law of man. The world may give a vigilante sympathy and respect for doing the righteous deed that the law couldn't handle but once he walked that path of pointless murder and violence, there is no turning back. The very monster he sworn to destroy will eventually transform him into one... and thus the cycle goes on. Let me end this with popular line from the movie Batman The Dark Knight as said by Batman "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.". You can talk about...
