With all of the major convenience and enhancement that technology has given us, one shouldn't wonder to why more and more people can't seem to get enough of anything tech related. The internet is just one of the many reasons why people are getting hooked with technology.. and thus we are now living in a technophile's world.

Technophilia is a general term for strong enthusiasm with technology. This is a term use to describe the relationship between society and technology, its extreme counterpart is technophobia. We can say that most of us are technophiles because we can't seem to get through out the day without relying so much on various forms of technologies like washing our clothes, connecting with each other via various forms of telecommunications media and the worldwide web, preparing, preserving and cooking our dishes, and many more.

A technophile views technology as beneficial, convenient and essential to a better living. Sadly, like any other things, when abused technology can somehow ruin one's life. There is also a form of addiction called either as an internet, computer, or technology addiction which negatively affects one lifestyle and general wellbeing. Eventually a technophile might experience this when he or she neglects his own welfare in exchange for some more hours spent with technology. This is why parents should learn to understand this situation that could possibly ruin the lives of their children. Parents or guardians should moderate their children's lifestyle to not overly depend on technology.
