There are many annual events which cater to every possible target market. There is Cannes Film Festival for the mainstream and independent film industry, then there is E3 and Penny Arcade Expo catered for gaming industry with latest upcoming console devices and titles, and lastly there is the San Diego Comics Convention which breaks the chain of being just a convention for comics fans, but rather crosses platforms and became a major event for television and movies. For almost three decades, International Comic-Con or the SDCC (San Diego Comics Convention) has been the biggest event for the comics industry and comics supporting community which later evolves into one of the biggest event for televisions and movies as well. From 1970 up to the present, SDCC has been a successfull annual event held at the San Diego Convention Center in California which grabbed the attention of other mainstream entertainment media like television, movie, toy and the gaming industry to release upcoming titles, sell merchandise, and tease the community of great things to come in their respective industries. What makes the International Comic-Con special is the unfaltering support and massive attendance of geeks and nerds from all parts of the state and even outside the country. The organizers gives back to the support of the geek and nerd community by giving them only the best which ranges from chances to win and afford rare collectibles and merchandise, a first taste of things to come on various entertainment platform (movies, tv, comics, etc.), and a chance to meet the people behind the great series (the comics industry) they have followed. With growing support and infiltration of Hollywood on the event, SDCC became more than just "the event" for geeks and nerds, it has crossed the curious general audience. You can talk about...
