To fans who grew up reading comic books and watching DC super heroes like Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman on the big and small screen, it certainly brings them great joy that DC Animation has invested on producing original animated movies retelling some of the origin stories, alternate realities, and just epic sagas from some of the most popular DC Universe characters.

The DC Universe Animated Original Movies are direct-to-video film projects being created by Warner Premiere, Warner Bros. Animation, and DC Comics, which began production on July 2006. Warner Bros. intends to release a slate of 2-3 films per year.
